The Denver Broncos have released running back Willis McGahee just two days after the back said he still expects to be the teams starter on September 5th. The move really isn’t a surprise as the McGahee is coming off a broken leg AND a torn MCL AND has a price tag of $2.5 million for 2013. From @kimjonessports: Looks like a deal will get done between Colts-Bradshaw. They...
Belichick backs Tebow but only so much
Remember that Yahoo Sports report that said New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick hates Tim Tebow as a player? Well according to Belichick that couldn’t be further from the truth. The Tebow faithful will now start to think the Patriots have interest in their guy. Unfortunately for them they need to slow their roll, that’s not happening anytime soon.
“I wouldn’t get...
RGIII no thanks to McNabb
Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb made news last week when he said he wanted to meet with Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III. He not only said he wanted to meet with him but he also criticized him, well today RGIII gave his response. To no surprise, he’s got no interest in meeting with the veteran.
“I heard what he said,” Griffin said. “It is...
Carlos Quentin takes a header
The San Diego Padres and Toronto Blue Jays played a great game yesterday that went 11 innings before it finally finished with the Padres winning 4-3. The game could have ended a lot earlier then that if it weren’t for the heroics of left fielder Carlos Quentin. With runners on first and third with two outs, Melky Cabrera hit a shot to deep left.
Quentin took a bad route to the...

Today we’ve got another Hicks video as he made an amazing catch last night on a would be Carlos Gomez homer. This one came on the road and happened with the Twins up 2-0 against the Milwaukee Brewers.
I’m torn on which catch is the...
Suh ready to be a leader
Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is looking for a new role in 2013. Suh says he feels like’s he is becoming a leader on the team and that he would love to be selected as a captain. Most NFL fans would go what Suh a leader? You know after all the complaints about his “aggressive” style and questionable actions but truthfully this could be a sign that Suh is finally...
VIDEO: Goalkeeper with the goal!
Here’s something you don’t see everyday, a soccer goalkeeper making a goal. This wasn’t the random freak goal either where a goalkeeper kicks the ball way down field and it dribbles in. This was a legitimate goal. Last night, Club America was down two goals with a minute left in regulation and staged a furious comeback.
They scored a goal with a minute to go, which left...

Jays IF gives amazing postgame interview
Toronto Blue Jays infielder Munenori Kawasaki has started to become a very entertaining character over the last couple weeks. First he had the photo surface of him in awe over Pablo Sandoval’s tattoos. Now today he hit a two run, walk off double against the Baltimore Orioles. That was pretty exciting as it was a walk off but the post game interview was the best part as Kawasaki...

Hibbert takes a shot to the groin
Roy Hibbert took a painful shot to the groin tonight when his Indiana Pacers faced the Miami Heat. Shane Battier drove down the lane and went up to try and dunk over Hibbert. The two collided so Shane switched to try and make a lay-up while Hibbert fell to the ground in pain. As Shane went up he gave Roy a huge knee to the groin area at full speed.

Paul George wears disco outfit to game
Last week we had Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat show up to a game wearing capris. Today we’ve got another NBA player with a crazy outfit and that’s Paul George of the Indiana Pacers. To me he’s looking like he’s ready to go out to a disco in the 1970′s. What do you think?
Melo has small tear in shoulder
If you watched any New York Knicks playoff game you could tell something was physically bothering Carmelo Anthony. The team gave their superstar a MRI today and the results weren’t what they wanted to see. Melo was diagnosed with a small tear in his shoulder. With it being a small tear the team is going to hope a few weeks of rest will allow the injury to heal, if not he may...
Giants may bring Barden
The New York Giants have an open spot on their 90 man roster and may look to bring back a former Giant, Ramses Barden. Barden was a third round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft and has spent his entire career with the G-men. Over four seasons he didn’t provide much to the team so when they wouldn’t offer much more then the league minimum Barden deiced to test the market. It was...
Roy Halladay begins rehab
The Philadelphia Phillies now have a rough timetable for the return of star pitcher Roy Halladay, that would be late August. This could be taken as good news for fans but that’s only if they’re still in the playoff race. You also have to think the return is set for late August, so anything can happen over the next three months.
Phillies right-hander Roy Halladay reported Monday...

Today’s Behind the Horn was an absolute gem. It started off with Tony Reali talking about Mike Smith on Sports Center in the morning. Smith was discussing Sergio Garcia’s comments about Tiger Woods and fried chicken. It turned into a full blown conversation where Bomani Jones says “fried chicken should be used to unify, not tear people apart”. They talk about fried chicken...
Rex calls Sanchez play unacceptable
Mark Sanchez had an absolutely brutal day today at the New York Jets OTA. He threw 11 passes and completed six, not great but at least it was over 50%. What made his play so unacceptable was that he threw three interceptions and one of those were to an undrafted defensive tackle.
“This is OTAs and things, but yeah, that’s going to be the pressure that we’re putting on him...

New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck is taking a different approach to training after a very, very disappointing 2012. ESPN New York is reporting that Tuck paid a visit to the “Unleash The Power Within” seminar hosted by Tony Robbins. Robbins seminars are known to work with attendees on their psyche, conquer personal fears and pretty much reinvigorate them. The seminar...
Have the Mets realized they’re Triple-A?
The New York Mets have been dreadful again here in 2013 holding a 17-25 record. Only reason they’re not in last place is because they have the luck of playing in the same division as the Miami Marlins. We all knew the Mets would be bad but I don’t think many expected this bad. You would think the young hitters they’ve been trotting out there would be developing, especially...
