Move over, “Good Job, Good Effort” Miami Heat fan, we have a new NBA fan to celebrate with his boisterous screaming abilities.
After the Spurs pulled out their game two win in the Western Conference Finals over the Memphis Grizzlies in overtime, a San Antonio fan is audibly heard saying “We Did It” as ESPN began to conclude their game coverage:
Spurs fan shouts “We...
Just when it looked like the Memphis Grizzlies were left for dead in game two of the 2013 Western Conference Finals, the play of Quincy Pondexter and Jerryd Bayless kept them alive.
The most notable moment from Memphis comeback was this poster dunk that Pondexter served up in the grill of Spurs center Boris Diaw:

One thing that I will say about NBA fans is that they are a unique bunch of people and one San Antonio Spurs fan caught my eye during game two of the Western Conference Finals.
Check out this lady decked out in basketball sunglasses and a “Go Spurs Go” sign showing off her dance moves:

Since this site is called, “That NBA Lottery Pick”…it’s not surprising that the NBA Draft Lottery held later today is our version of Christmas around these parts.
Recently, the Cleveland Cavaliers held a special YouTube contest for fans to submit a short 30-second video to have a chance to accompany owner Dan Gilbert and his son Nick to this year’s NBA Draft Lottery festivities...
Touching upon everything from his unique vantage point on sex to his struggles being a 7-foot-tall adolescent, Wilt Chamberlain’s anecdotes in the following interview are both captivating and revealing.
The PBS Digital series known as “Blank on Blank” exhumed this relic of the past (the original interview occurred in 1992 between Chamberlain and Ann Liguori) and artfully animated...
Since the NBA playoffs had a night off, the only dunks that we will be seeing until tomorrow’s Spurs/Grizzlies game two is this one from Clippers center DeAndre Jordan.
Jordan stopped by the ESPN studios in Los Angeles for a guest appearance on their hit show “SportsNation” and well, he decided to throw down a trash can dunk over SportsNation co-host Charissa Thompson when...
With the money that some NBA players make over their careers, they can afford some pretty tricked out rides and Dallas Mavericks forward Shawn Marion showed off his one his rides around downtown Dallas.
Check out the below image of Shawn driving his three-wheeled motorcycle (or convertible) that was spotted by Twitter user Landon Graves:
I just met Shawn Marion. #pictureoritdidnthappen...
As previously noted on That NBA Lottery Pick, a week with a post starring Lakers forward Metta World Peace is a pretty darn good week.
Recently, Metta visited the fine folks over at Fox 11 in Los Angeles and got the opportunity to do the “Metta Weather Report”.
Apparently, Mr. Peace also decided to work on his yoga game as well:
Sometimes the only way to stop San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker is to trip him and well, that’s what Memphis Grizzlies guard Tony Allen did during game one of the Western Conference Finals.
It happened in the third quarter of play and watch as Tony P goes to the ground after Mr. Allen sticks his right leg out:

Most NBA coaches would be happy with a double-digit lead in the first half of a Western Conference Finals game but not Spurs coach Gregg Popovich.
Watch as Popovich screams at one of the officials regarding a grab and then decides to deliver a classic “Pop dismissal” with a hand wave:
Popovich is angry with refs [SB Nation]
Apparently, NBA referee Ken Mauer decided to get this jump ball between New York Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire and Indiana Pacers guard D.J. Augustin as soon as possible.
Watch as Amare wins the bad jump ball but Indiana ultimately gains possession:
Ken Mauer throws terrible jump ball [SB Nation]
In the totality of life, there are few moments to be treasured like the high school senior prom and recently, Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade made one lucky female fan’s week by going to her prom.
Let’s break down the story for you: Nicole Muxo (a senior at Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School in Miami) posted a YouTube clip asking Wade to be her date for her senior prom.
In tonight’s weighty game six Eastern Conference semifinal matchup between Indiana and New York, Knicks defensive maestro Kenyon Martin rattled Pacers forward David West with an ever-classic “pull-the-chair” maneuver (this is when a defender––i.e. Kenyon Martin––makes body contact with an offensive player and pulls away at the last second).
Leading to David West falling...
Now, to add a little bit of class to this website, a poem about Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose as read by Bulls fan Jerk Jerkson…(that’s probably not his real name)…
Where are you, Derrick Rose [The Basketball Jones]
One of my favorite things to track down here on That NBA Lottery Pick is playoff anthems created by either famous musicians or the fans of the certain team.
The latest one that has come to my attention is this one called “We Don’t Bluff” done by DJ Paul (Most notably remembered for his work with “Three 6 Mafia).
Overall, I think it’s a pretty hot track:
DJ Paul records...
After the Golden State Warriors were eliminated by the San Antonio Spurs last night, Oracle Arena was still packed as Stephen Curry was given a microphone to speak on behalf of the team at center court.
Curry thanked the Warriors fans for their continued enthusiasm and support during their 2013 playoff run.
If you had a dry eye before viewing this, you probably won’t after:
You would think that the athletes of the NBA wouldn’t have issues with a simple high-five but check out this blown high five between New York Knicks teammate Chris Copeland and Tyson Chandler.
Watch as miscommunication between the two causes the forgettable moment:
Chandler and Copeland miss on high five [SB Nation]
Things that Indiana Pacers Lance Stephenson learned tonight…
1) If you trying to throw down a monster dunk, it’s a good decision to have an open lane to do so
2) If Tyson Chandler is standing in the way, you will get denied
3) Tyson Chandler will send you to the ground hard if you attempt to dunk on him:
Last night, late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel had Jason and Jarron Collins on to talk about the news of Jason coming out as a gay NBA player.
Below is the full interview in two parts where Kimmel talks with the twins about the moment of Jason coming out to his brother and at one point, Jimmy lightens the mood by giving Jarron, a “I’m The Straight One” t-shirt:
After the Oklahoma City Thunder were eliminated last night from the NBA playoffs, it was safe to assume that many Seattle fans were pleased to see their former team fall short of another NBA title run.
While it’s normal for fans to rip the Thunder on Twitter, this might be the first time that the Washington Department of Transportation decided to do so.
Watch as their Twitter account...
There are many ways to earn a technical foul in the Association but last night Memphis Grizzlies guard Tony Allen earned one after he accidentally tossed a t-shirt that he was holding.
The moment happened in the third quarter of game five against the Oklahoma City Thunder as he was trying to distract Thunder guard Derek Fisher.
Watch as the shirt from his hand goes flying near Fisher...
For most high-school students trying to come up with that specific high school yearbook quote to be remembered by, maybe…you should take a cue from New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith.
Sometimes, the simplest quote might be the most impactful:

Ever wondered what all of Phil Jackson’s championship rings would look like laid out in the same place?
Well, thanks to a request at the Zen Master’s Twitter feed, we don’t have to imagine that any longer….
@sthomas141 here’s the best I can do…the 2 Knick rings are in the front of the picture. twitter.com/PhilJackson11/…

These days, it seems that pretty much everyone is videobombing or photobombing and the latest person to join the trend is TNT’s Craig Sager.
Watch as Craig photobombs actors Will Smith and Jaden Smith in his rather colorful suit:
In case you wanted to see Sager’s full suit, thanks to @CJZero…we have that image for you as well:
To say that Miami Heat guard Mario Chalmers overshot this lay-up against the Chicago Bulls in game five of their second round playoff series would probably be the understatement of the century.
Watch as Mario’s shot goes past the leaping hand of Joakim Noah and over the backboard:
