Cowboys might franchise Anthony Spencer
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Dallas Cowboys might decide to place the franchise tag on linebacker Anthony Spencer.
If Spencer ends up getting tagged, he’d make about $8.8 million in 2012.
I’m not sure why the Cowboys would want to keep Spencer around, since he’s been nothing but a bust after being drafted in the first round of the 2007 NFL draft.

Dallas Cowboys Should Steer Clear of Randy Moss
If you haven’t already heard, troubled former NFL receiver Randy Moss has announced he wants to play football again. One year on the sideline was enough for Moss to realize he has nothing to do, so he might as well squeeze every bit of talent out of his now 35-year-old body. One Dallas Cowboy, defensive end Jason Hatcher, has already tweeted that Moss would look good with a star...

Tony Romo Totally Jinxed Tiger Woods
Every time Tiger Woods fails to win a tournament these days, his lack of effort is usually followed by a few hundred newspaper and Internet columns declaring his career over and done. Today is no different, after Woods put up a pooptastic 75 in the final round of the Pebble Beach Pro-Am yesterday and watched as Phil Mickelson strolled right by him with a 64 to win the event.

Using the franchise tag to delay a decision
Today, we need distinguish the difference between fantasy football and real football from the standpoint of a general manager of one of 32 franchises. I believe a lot of the rhetoric that surrounds the offseason plans of the Dallas Cowboys is generally fun for fans and media to throw onto a wall and see if it sticks, but not practical to a real team that has to have every position...

2011 Dallas Cowboys season in review
It is really hard to evaluate the middle of the NFL pie each year. The Cowboys were 8-8 in 2011 and in the playoff race until late in the 2011 season. A year ago they were 6-10 and that means they were two games better. That means they are probably getting better. However, they still need a little something to get over the hump and be a legit playoff contender. They may be on that...
