Even Steffi and Martina in their primes would have their hands full with Serena Williams the way the latter is playing right now. So you can only imagine what must be going through the heads of those in the camp of Kimiko Date-Krumm, the 42-year-old Japanese trooper who just became the oldest woman to reach the third round at Wimbledon and will have to contend with Serena next. Well, you don't have to imagine. Date-Krumm's husband, Michael, took to Twitter to offer an awesomely realistic assessment of his wife's chances: Thanks for everybody's support for Kimiko..don't want to sound negative, but next round is S.Williams! So we would need a miracle for that.. -- Michael Krumm (@MichaelKrumm) June 27, 2013 Sounds about right. Date-Krumm -- somewhat amazingly, given their combined years on tour -- has never faced Serena Williams. What's Serena saying about the match? She hasn't tweeted in a week, but you can tell she's relaxed: Tallest man ever. Kinda cool. #ripleysbelieveitorn http://t.co/g8IlSYBmuV -- Serena Williams (@serenawilliams) June 21, 2013 The match is scheduled for Saturday, though late-week rain has delayed parts of the schedule. One thing's for certain: Andy Murray will be taking notes .
