Top-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland advanced to the third round of the Western & Southern Open with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Sofia Arvidsson of Sweden on Wednesday. Radwanska, who lost to Serena Williams in the Wimbledon final, will meet Sloane Stephens of the United States in the fourth round. Stephens, a wild card in the $5.7 million event, rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 win over another wild-card entrant, Camila Giorgi of Italy. Russia's Anatasia Pavlyuchenkova cruised to a 6-3, 6-0 win over Julia Goerges of Germany. But 11th-seeded Dominka Cibulkova withdrew with an injury after losing the first set in a tiebreaker against qualifier Andrea Hlavackova of the Czech Republic. China's Shuai Peng beat Roberta Vinci of Italy 6-3, 6-4. In men's action, No. 10-seeded Mardy Fish of the United States advanced to the third round by defeating Carlos Berlocq of Argentina 6-3, 6-1.
