I absolutely despise this crap when professional athletes do it. During his match against Juan Martin Del Potro at the French Open on Tuesday, Roger Federer became visibly furious with the fans for making noise during a point in a second-set tie breaker. As you can see from the video above that Busted Racquet passed along, Federer hit a beautiful backhand down the line that drew some “oohs” and “ahhs” from the crowd. Del Potro returned the shot and Federer then forehanded it into the net before he could clearly be seen screaming, “Shut up!”

Federer was understandably frustrated he hit a bad shot while already trailing by two sets, but don’t take it out on the fans. He’s one of the most popular tennis players to ever play the game, so when he hits one of the shots that made him so famous the crowd is naturally going to react by buzzing a little. It’s not like he was being heckled intentionally. Give me a break. This isn’t church. Man, those tennis players can be sensitive.
