Sometimes when I’m typing and I mistype a word, I’ll slam my fist into the keyboard or maybe bash my knuckle into the screen.  It’s the equipment’s fault.  Serena Williams pulled similar shenanigans after falling behind 2-1 in the third (and deciding) set against 19-year old American Sloane Stephens. Serena was cruising, up a set and a break against Stephens (who bears a striking resemblance to a young Serena) when she lost her next service game, hurt her back trying to avoid touching the net during a point and lost a good deal of umph behind her serve. Stephens, who has called Serena her hero and will be the future of women’s tennis in the United States, went on to beat Serena 3-6, 7-5, 6-4.  But the biggest loser of the match was Serena’s poor racquet.  We’ll call him Wilson. Stephens will face Victoria Azerenka in the semis. Video via cjzero
