The Tennessee Vols had a tough weekend in Tuscaloosa. 

After beating the Alabama Crimson Tide on Friday night, the Vols dropped two straight games to Bama, losing 6-3 on Saturday and 7-6 on Sunday. 

The two losses were Tennessee's first losses since an extra innings loss to the Oklahoma Sooners during the opening weekend of the season. 

Tennessee is now 18-3 through the first 21 games of the season (the Vols were 15-6 through their first 21 games last season). 

As a result of the series loss to Alabama, Tennessee dropped from No. 5 to No. 8 in the new Top 25 from D1 Baseball

Alabama, meanwhile, climbed from No. 14 to No. 11 in the new Top 25. 

The Vols will return to action on Tuesday night when they host Xavier at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. 

This upcoming weekend, Tennessee will play Ole Miss in Knoxville for a weekend series against the Rebels. 

Ole Miss is not currently ranked in D1 Baseball's top 25.
