Defending champion Czech Republic has beaten Kazakhstan to advance to the Davis Cup semifinals.
Lukas Rosol defeated Evgeny Korolev 7-6 (5), 6-7 (2), 7-6 (5), 6-2 on Sunday in the first reverse singles to secure an insurmountable 3-1 lead over Kazakhstan in the World Group quarterfinal series.
The Czechs won both opening singles on Friday, but Kazakhstan cut the lead by winning...

Kazakhstan leads Austria 2-0 in Davis Cup
Andrey Golubev and Evgeny Korolev won their singles matches Friday to give Kazakhstan a 2-0 lead over Austria in the first round of the Davis Cup.
Golubev beat Andreas Haider-Maurer 7-6 (2), 6-3, 7-6 (5) in the opening match, and Korolev followed up by defeating Jurgen Melzer 7-6 (4), 6-3, 6-2.
