Jurgen Melzer withdraws from Australian Open

(January 4, 2014) World No. 27 Jurgen Melzer announced on his twitter account that his is withdrawing from the Australian Open due to a left shoulder injury. The Austrian had surgery on a torn tendon back in October and is still recovering. The Australian Open begins on January 13.
