Allyson Felix of the United States won gold in the 200-meter in 21.88 seconds on Wednesday night in London.

The Jamaicans dominated the 100-meter final, but the Americans took the 200-meter as Felix beat Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce by two-tenths of a second, and American Carmelita Jeter won the bronze in 22.14 seconds.

This is Felix’s first individual gold medal.  She is a three-time world champion in the 200m, but had only won two silver medals in the Olympics.

Jamaican Veronica Campbell-Brown finished fourth while American Sanya Richards-Ross finished fifth.
