Jeff Hardy dealing with back injury:
Jeff Hardy is working through a back injury and was seen nursing it at the TNA live event in Johnson City, Tennessee, on Thursday
The TNA World Heavyweight Champion immediately placed ice on his lower-back after his match, in full view of the audience as he walked to the curtain, according to fan accounts. He signed autographs backstage, although some fans had paid to meet and greet him in the ring.
It’s not clear when the injury occurred, but he’s only just coming off a grueling Ladder match at Turning Point.
There’s nothing to suggest that he’ll be taking any time off.
Cody Rhodes MRI results:
The results from Cody Rhodes‘ MRI scan are back and as well as a concussion, he Tweeted the following injuries:
“Torn trapezius grade 2. Torn deltoid grade 1. Separated shoulder. No surgery needed. Won’t stop us.”
Wrestlers have been known to work through much more, so it’s still not 100% clear whether he will be at Survivor Series or not. It’s possible he can work light and let his other teammates pick up the slack.
Rhodes thanked his colleagues for protecting him during and after the injury:
“In debt to @TedDiBiase for packing my bag that night, and @TheDamienSandow for refusing to tag me in after I got hurt…protected my career.”
Cody took a crooked backdrop from Kane during a match taped for Superstars earlier this week. If he doesn’t make it to the PPV Tensai is on standby.
November 17, 2012, WWE Saturday Morning Slam Results:
This week’s episode of WWE Saturday Morning Slam featured two matches, William Regal vs R Truth, and Zack Ryder versus Kofi Kingston. R-Truth got the rollup on Regal after he comically wrestled the invisible Little Jimmy, and Kofi Kingston defeated Zack Ryder with a cross-body.
Segments included a spotlight on the Miz, showing outtakes from a television commercial he filmed for his bucket list. We also get a look at the Miz and R Truth losing to John Cena and The Rock at last year’s Survivor Series.
Further Survivor Series memories included The Rock’s debut in 1996, the Montreal Screwjob, Team Shawn Michaels vs The Harts, and WWE versus The Alliance.
There was also a spotlight on Kofi Kingston, who encouraged kids to jump. He said that he wants to be like an explosion, so that’s why he says ‘Boom, Boom, Boom’ in the ring.
David Otunga’s Twinkie spree:
TMZ has a story up about David Otunga stocking up on Twinkies and other snack foods now that Hostess foods have announced they’re going out of business.
“I don’t want my son to go without Twinkies,” said Otunga.
