- Prior to last night’s WWE Royal Rumble PPV, Yoshi Tatsu defeated Heath Slater in a dark match for the live crowd.
- There are currently no plans for Jake “The Snake” Roberts to be inducted in to the WWE Hall of Fame. It’s likely nothing to do with his talent or contributions to the business, but rather a case where WWE don’t want any bad press. Roberts commented recently on Facebook about his exclusion:
“My real opinion of this, is I can’t let it rule my life. I appreciate the fan support, every bit as much as I SHOULD. But the HOF isn’t going to make or break my day..I have other things to concern myself with. Its not conceit, its not apathy. Its reality.”
As unfortunate as it sounds the company may not induct him until he’s no longer around to accept it.
- Sting posted on his new Twitter account that he doesn’t think his heel injury, that he sustained at the UK Impact tapings is serious.
“Although I couldn’t finish the way you all deserved last night, I believe my injury is not serious.”
On the crowd at Wembley Arena, London, Sting said: “Wrestling fans do not get any better.”
We await any official diagnosis.
- WWE Diva Kelly Kelly has been ordered by a Tampa, Florida judge, to attend defensive driving school for racking up several traffic citations for running red lights. Kelly’s outstanding tickets total $369.
