Arkansas cheerleaders free ball stuck behind backboard

A cheerleading duo was at it again to provide an assist during March Madness.

Early in the second half of the Duke-Arkansas West Region final of the NCAA Tournament Saturday, a three-point attempt by Arkansas hit off the rim and bounced over the backboard. The ball got stuck behind the backboard, and a few alert cheerleaders stepped up.

One Razorbacks cheerleader lifted up his partner so she could knock the ball loose and allow play to quickly resume.

If the video clip looked familiar, that’s because we saw the same thing happen during the Indiana game earlier in the tournament.

Arkansas’ cheerleaders must have seen what the IU cheerleaders did, because they didn’t hesitate to step in and free the ball.
