Big Ten play has come early this year, as the Spartans open up conference play against Nebraska. The Spartans have lost just one game so far this year and should continue to be one of the top teams in the country. Here are three bold predictions for Michigan State heading into Big Ten play. MSU doesn’t win the Big Ten I’m starting this out with a super bold prediction, and it seems a little stupid, considering the Spartans just beat the crap out of two top 10 teams. However, there is one team that I think matches up really well with the Spartans. Minnesota might not have as much depth up front as the Spartans, but they have two of the better bigs in the conference in Reggie Lynch and Jordan Murphy. Those two, combined with stud guards Amir Coffey and Nate Mason will be tough for any team to handle. MSU only plays Minnesota once this year, but it’s in Minneapolis.
