There have been many great upsets in college football before and since, but few resonate through the history of the sport like Appalachian State's 34-32 victory over Michigan at the Big House.
Appalachian State fans had something to celebrate the evening of the national championship. Former quarterback Armanti Edwards was announced as a member of the College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024 on Monday afternoon.
Appalachian State announced that it will retire Armanti Edwards' No. 14 jersey this fall. The ceremony will occur during halftime of the Appalachian State-Georgia Southern game on Nov. 25.
