Former Michigan Wolverine running back and Dexter High School standout Cole Cabana has transferred to Western Michigan University according to On3's Pete Nakos.
After not seeing the field very often, former highly-touted running back Cole Cabana entered the transfer portal. Many believed Michigan hit a homerun when Cabana committed to the Wolverines two years ago, but things didn't pan out for either party like they were supposed to.
The transfer portal is officially open and it will stay open until Dec. 28. Minnesota is already incredibly busy with offers and visits, so let's keep track of all things Gophers football.
Not only is Michigan losing running backs Donovan Edwards and Kalel Mullings to graduation, the Wolverines have had two more enter the transfer portal.
It hasn't been the ideal situation for former Dexter (MI) four-star running back, Cole Cabana, since he signed with Michigan back in 2023. Cabana has struggled with injuries and seeing the field in the two seasons with the program.
