The transfer portal giveth and the transfer portal taketh away. This time it's taking away from the Sooners in the form of soon-to-be junior pass catcher Zion Kearney.
Because of the depleted state of Oklahoma’s wide receiver room, Zion Kearney saw plenty of action as a true freshman in 2024. Kearney, a wideout from Fresno, TX, played in 11 games for the Sooners last year, catching eight passes for 128 yards and a touchdown.
This season has been frustrating for fans of the Oklahoma Sooners, mainly due to the team's historically bad offense. It's a letdown with Oklahoma's best defense in over a decade and its special teams turning into a real weapon. The unit has battled injuries to the offensive line and wide receiver in their first six games.
