Hey, today I want your honest opinion—should Ishan Kishan be removed from captaincy after Pat Cummins joined Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)?

I mean, just look at it—this has been a fantastic year for SRH. They’ve won 4 out of 7 matches and are sitting in 3rd position. Ishan is a young leader, but his captaincy doesn’t seem to be affecting his batting at all. In fact, he’s performing really well—238 runs in 7 matches at a strike rate of 188.89. He’s winning matches for the team. So if another player comes in and takes over his role, won’t that affect his confidence?

Yes, Pat Cummins has recovered from his injury and might play the next match. But keeping Ishan as captain isn’t just my opinion—experts think the same. Harbhajan Singh also said that even after Cummins returns, Ishan should remain captain because the way he reads the game is very impressive. He knows which bowler to use against which batsman. He doesn’t panic under pressure and doesn’t rush decisions.

And think about it—Cummins is coming back from an injury. No one knows how fit or effective he’ll be right away. What if he captains for a couple of matches and gets injured again? Then the captaincy goes back to Ishan—won’t that disturb the team’s balance?

Also, when a young Indian player leads in the IPL, it’s satisfying to see them grow—it shows how much talent India has.

So yeah, that’s my opinion on Ishan Kishan’s captaincy. Let me know yours in the comments!
