In 1996, Adam Sandler starred in the golf comedy Happy Gilmore. That movie became a huge hit and was full of memorable scenes.
Now, nearly 30 years later, the sequel was made and released on Friday on Netflix.
Sandler was once again the star of the movie, and his production company, Happy Madison Productions, also worked on this movie.
After it officially hit Netflix on Friday, Sandler took to X and posted a message on his account with the trailer of the movie.
"Hope you all have. a great time," Sandler wrote.
The reviews came in immediately from Rotten Tomatoes, although they were a bit of a mixed bag.
Liz Shannon Miller of Consequence gave the movie a "B" grade, while other Rotten Tomatoes reviewers gave the movie one and two-star grades.

The new film was full of cameos, including some surprising ones. Bad Bunny, pro golfers Scottie Scheffler, John Daly and Rory McIlroy and rapper Eminem.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce also made a few appearances in the movie, including a viral scene of Bad Bunny rubbing honey on Kelce.
In a recent interview with the Associated Press, Sandler reveals what went into making the sequel nearly 30 years later.
“We thought it could be fun to write something like that,” says Sandler. “It kind of connected to our lives and this age, and wanting to make a full-on comedy. There’s nothing better than dropping a comedy and trying to make people laugh, to us. It feels like why we originally got into this business.”
While a lot of sequels turn out to be busts, fans had high hopes for this one, and it will be interesting to see the feedback once the opening weekend comes to an end.
