The world of Carrie Bradshaw is coming to a close. The third season of the continuation of "Sex and the City" entitled "And Just Like That" is currently in its third season. But via showrunner, writer and director Michael Patrick King, we now know that this will be the final season of "And Just Like That," and will be the end of all things "Sex and the City" (for now, never say never with modern TV).

"Sex and the City" ran on HBO from 1998 to 2004 and then spawned two movies. It was a cultural sensation, even if the quality was inconsistent. We aren't merely talking about how much money Carrie Bradshaw seems to have for how little she writes.
"And Just Like That" debuted in December 2021 and was presented as a one-off limited series. Obviously, things changed, which makes the certainty that this is all coming to a close with the end of the present season less definitive. The thing is "And Just Like That" hasn't been received all that well, critically or by fans.
The final episode of "And Just Like That," which we now know is (probably...maybe) the final episode full stop, hits HBO Max on August 14. Soon, we will be losing the foremost producer of sweaty, eye-roll-inducing double entendres this world has ever known.
