Andrew Garfield went where no man or woman should go for Buzzfeed's "Thirst Tweets" series, plunging deep into his fans's most honest musings about him.
Around four minutes into the six-minute segment, the Oscar-nominated actor stumbled upon someone tweeting a wish for Garfield to whisper "You better lawyer up, a—hole" in his or her ear. The line, of course, is from The Social Network (2010).
"The cool thing about the movie, my love for Jesse Eisenberg and the relationship we created for that film meant that I wanted that line to hurt him more than if I shouted it," Garfield responded after laughing. "I wanted it to be lodged in his f—king soul. If I can't make money in other ways, I will charge people for me to whisper in their ear, 'You better lawyer up, a—hole.'"
Here is the scene in question, where Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg (Eisenberg) dilutes Eduardo Saverin's (Garfield) stake—effectively cutting him out of the company—despite the fact they co-founded the social media giant together:
The Social Network, directed by David Fincher with a screenplay by Aaron Sorkin, was a dramatization of Facebook's messy real-life origins. The drama also starred Justin Timberlake and the since-disgraced Armie Hammer. It won three Oscars.
Garfield, 37, went on the embody Spider-Man/Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), though he laughed off any notion that he will be reprising the superhero role earlier this month:
