Buzz Lightyear had been voiced by Tim Allen since the original 1995 "Toy Story" film.
Chris Evans is taking over for Disney and Pixar's "Lightyear" prequel, and the teaser trailer landed Wednesday.
In the 90-second animated clip, a young Buzz is a test pilot preparing for liftoff. He flies full-speed directly toward the sun, which serves as a transition to his many daring adventures throughout "infinity and beyond" and finally settles on him seeing his now-famous green and purple spacesuit for the first time.
And nobody was more moved by it than Evans.
Animated movie were an enormous part of my childhood. They were my escape. My adventures. My dreams.

I’m covered in goosebumps. And will be every time I watch this trailer. Or hear a Bowie song. Or have any thought whatsoever between now and July cause nothing has ever made me feel more joy and gratitude than knowing I’m a part of this and it’s basically always on my mind
