The creator and cast of 'Pretty Little Liars' reveal if they would be open to a reunion

As more and more of the Pretty Little Liars cast celebrate the 15th anniversary of the beloved YA series, fans are definitely in their feels, but now that all these years have passed, there's one question everyone is asking: Will there ever be any sort of reunion?

Well, Marlene King and the stars are finally giving their answers. "We always kick it around. I like the idea of maybe doing a movie or limited 10 episodes back in Rosewood. I’d have to come up with a good idea to bring everybody back and where we would go for it. But I think the cast would love to. We do talk about how it feels like maybe it’s time to start talking about that," the creator told The Hollywood Reporter. "It’s been enough time that we could come up with more life-lived experiences for those characters and that would make it similar but different."

"It would need to be a film because I don’t think it could sustain another season," Troian Bellisario commented. "But definitely, it would be really cool to see what’s going on with these characters. We love them so much. They were in our lives for seven years, and now they’ve been out of our lives for seven years. So it’s the perfect time to see where they are."

She's not the only one on board with a film. Tyler Blackburn agreed, sharing, "I would love to do [a film]. I always thought also that the show could be really bad--- if it was not on a family network. If it was a film that was at least PG-13, we could make it a little bit more intense and gory or gruesome or sexy."

As for his on-screen love interest, star Ashley Benson has one condition: "Maybe Hanna could finally be 'A!' I’ll do it if she can be 'A.'"

The drama premiered on June 8, 2010, running for a total of seven seasons with the finale airing on June 27, 2017.

"I always told Marlene and all the girls know that I think in the future, there could be something where we all get back together and do something fun, like Sex and the City did. I think that could be cute if we were to all agree to do it," Shay Mitchell added. "I would always be down for that. They know that. It would have to be a whole group situation. I can’t do it without my girls."

Thankfully, Sasha Pieterse, who plays the other half of the fan-favorite couple Emison, is "always open to that idea," explaining, "I love everybody that we worked with. It would be a fun thought experiment to figure out what it would look like for our characters if we all came together."

Last but not least, Ian Harding expressed, "I’d love to see where those characters are now, but it also depends on the script and the story and who was involved. So yes, I’d be very open to that. And if it isn’t made into a movie, I think I’d also be OK with where it was left."

All seasons of PLL, which was based on the novels by Sara Shepard, are streaming on HBO Max.
