Deadpool and Wolverine Image Showcases Sister of Professor X

Deadpool and Wolverine could be facing their most powerful foe yet, as revealed in a new image posted exclusively on Entertainment Weekly.

That foe is Cassandra Nova, sister to telepathic genius and leader of the X-Men, Professor X. With her bald head and comparable powers of telepathy, the two cut a similar figure.

Nova, played by Emma Corrin who previously portrayed Princess Diana in The Crown, shares none of her brother’s morals, however, using her genius-level intellect to lead a group of bad guys, many of them classic figures from both Deadpool and Wolverine’s past.

One of them, as shown in the new look Deadpool and Wolverine trailer reveals Sabretooth, who was last seen in 2000’s X-Men, a massive 24 years ago.

While past clips from Deadpool and Wolverine have shown us other villains, including Pyro, it’s Nova who’s likely the primary antagonist. With her powers of telekinesis, magic, dematerialization, phasing, shapeshifting, and a healing factor to rival Wolverine’s, our heroes have their work cut out.
