Ed Sheeran is 'gonna be having a solo party' for his album release while quarantined with COVID

Ed Sheeran had big plans around the release of = (Equals), including serving as Saturday Night Live's musical guest on Nov. 6.

But then he tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week:

And that means celebrating = (Equals), his fourth solo studio album and first since 2017's ÷ (Divide), alone in quarantine:

The four-time Grammy winner has released singles "Bad Habits," "Visiting Hours" and "Shivers" in the album's rollout. All three tracks cracked the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with "Bad Habits" peaking at No. 2, "Shivers" at No. 9 and "Visiting Hours" at No. 75.
