Jacob Elordi portrays the extremely toxic Nate Jacobs on HBO's smash series "Euphoria," but in real life, the 24-year-old Australian actor seems extremely pleasant.
Elordi stopped by "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Tuesday to discuss Sunday's second season premiere of "Euphoria." If you haven't watched it yet, don't scroll below this YouTube clip.
At the end of the episode, taking place during a New Year's Eve house party, Fezco (Angus Cloud) bashes Nate in the head with a bottle and beats the living you-know-what out of him as payback for sicking the feds on him, which resulted in a raid that forced Fez to dump his stash and endanger his livelihood as well as his literal life. (Note: Fez happens to be the most lovable drug dealer alive.)
"[Fans] were stoked," Elordi told Fallon, referencing Nate getting his brains beat in. "They were so happy about it."
"Would you agree with that?" Fallon asked.
Elordi paused and smiled. "I think me as Jacob, I would love to beat him up. Like, I would love to give him a clip around the ears. But as Nate, I feel very bad for him."
Viewership over the last day or two proves just how invested people are in the fate of Nate — and of every "Euphoria" character, especially Rue (Zendaya) and Jules (Hunter Schafer).
Created by Sam Levinson, "Euphoria" releases new episodes every Sunday. See what's to come this season below.
