Before Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's love story began, the singer had a short-lived romance with Matt Healy. But after the two broke up, many speculated that some of the songs on Swift's album, "The Tortured Poets Department," could be about their failed relationship.
Healy's mom, Denise Welch, went on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" on Thursday, July 24, and the Bravo host asked her about her son's relationship with Swift along with this album.
"Obviously, on pain of death can I talk about that episode, but being her mother-in-law is a role that I am glad that I lost,” Welch said, which earned quite the reaction from the studio audience. “Not that I have anything against her at all! It was just — it was tricky.”
“She — listen, you're not allowed to say anything, and then she writes a whole album about it," she continued. "Matty has taken it all in completely good grace.”

As expected, Swifties were up in arms about these comments, and rallied behind the singer. However, they also showed support for Travis Kelce's mom Donna Kelce.
"Thank god for Donna Kelce, and that’s all I’ll say about that," one fan commented on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"We thank god Taylor Swift is luckily enough she’s NOT your mother in law. Donna Kelce is way better Denise Welch by a huge gap. A mother who raised a champ while the other raised a druggie. End of story," another fan wrote.
"Meanwhile donna kelce is having the time of her life, girl move on," a fan pointed out.
"Ed and Donna Kelce should give parenting lessons," one fan said.
