First look at “Unrecognisable” Billy Zane as Marlon Brando in Upcoming Biopic

The images show Zane playing Brando in two different eras of his life. The first is an earlier Brando in black and white. The second is a shirtless Brando on a beach, with white hair and a tan.

This appears to be Brando during the filming of 1996 flop The Island of Doctor Moreau. According to on-set stories, Brando was a nightmare. That means Zane will potentially have a lot to sink his teeth into.

The film is called Waltzing With Brando, an adaptation of Bernard Judge’s memoir of the same name. It’s reportedly set primarily from 1969 and 1974, a time in which Brando was preparing to star in The Godfather.

Waltzing With Brando is yet to find a buyer, so there’s no release date yet.
