"Hacks" is almost back.
The third season of "Hacks" won Outstanding Comedy Series at the most recent Emmy Awards, with Jean Smart winning for Outstanding Lead Actress. Smart is now three-for-three wining the award. Emmys voters clearly love the (HBO) Max show, as do a lot of folks who just enjoy watching TV. For all parties involved, the trailer for the fourth season of the show has arrived.
As the fourth season begins, Deborah, played by Smart, and her younger compatriot Ava, the breakthrough role for Hannah Einbinder, are working to get a late-night show up and running. Do tensions rise? According to the logline for the season, and also the trailer, they sure do!
Two episodes of season four of "Hacks" are scheduled to be released on Max on April 10, atl 9 p.m. ET. Be prepared for some evening viewing, or some April 11 viewing. By the time the season premieres we presume Smart will already have her Emmy speech ready to go for this fall.
