Hulu reveals May premiere date for 'Nine Perfect Strangers' season 2 starring Nicole Kidman

Masha is back, and she has nine new strangers to heal in the Austrian Alps. That's right: Hulu has finally announced that the second season of Nine Perfect Strangers will premiere with the first two episodes on May 21. After that, new episodes will be released weekly.

As you can see in the new first look photos, Nicole Kidman returns as Masha with Henry Golding, Lena Olin, Annie Murphy, Christine Baranski, Lucas Englander, King Princess, Murray Bartlett, Dolly de Leon, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Mark Strong, and Aras Aydin all joining her.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Kidman expressed she was excited to reprise her role: "I think it’s so different from anything I do. There’s such a kind of a mischievous quality to her. She’s not what she seems, which is always a wonderful thing to play."

As for the new location, she explained, "You put them in the snow because it’s almost like you can’t escape, but it’s still very beautiful. It’s not sort of that gray, cold, bleak environment. It’s still very alluring."

Nine new strangers connected in ways they could never imagine are invited by mysterious guru Masha Dmitrichenko (Nicole Kidman) to join a transformational wellness retreat in the Austrian Alps. Over the course of a week, she takes them to the brink. Will they make it? Will she? Masha is willing to try anything in the interest of healing everyone involved, including herself.

They filmed in Austria and Germany, and the actress shared, "I really do believe the air and the scenery and the way in which we all existed as a little troop out there in the wilderness, it really helps infiltrate the show. Those mountains are real mountains. That snow is real snow. I think audiences sniff that out."

The first season premiered in August of 2021.
