Iman opens up about late husband David Bowie: ‘I still feel married’

June 6, 1992, will mark 30 years since Iman married David Bowie.

On Wednesday, the 66-year-old model and entrepreneur launched her "Love Memoir" fragrance at HSN as a tribute to Bowie and their love story. To Iman, her love story with Bowie, who died in January 2016, is ongoing.

"I still feel married," she told People. "Someone a few years ago referred to David as my late husband and I said 'No, he's not my late husband. He's my husband. I definitely feel his presence, especially when I look out over the glorious sunsets at our home because David loves sunsets. So in that way he is ever present. Through my memory, my love lives."

Iman expressed the same sentiment to Harper's BAZAAR UK in early January of this year: "This was my true love. My daughter once asked me if I would ever marry again and I said, 'never.'"

Bowie and Iman share one daughter, Alexandra "Lexi" Jones, 21.

As for "Love Memoir," Iman credited Bowie for encouraging her to enter the space in the first place.

"If David was not in my life, I don't know if I would have had the courage to start Iman Cosmetics [in 1994]" she added to People. "I asked him 'What if it fails?' and he said, 'If you don't try, you'll never know if it succeeds.'  He was very proud that it was one of the first lines to be very inclusive. Very chuffed, as he would say. Pleasantly happy."
