Netflix shares first look at season 2 of 'My Life with the Walter Boys'

It's official: this summer, fans will be traveling back to Silver Falls! It's been confirmed that the second season of My Life with the Walter Boys will premiere sometime this summer, though we are still waiting for the release date.

Returning stars include Nikki Rodriguez, Sarah Rafferty, Marc Blucas, Noah LaLonde, Ashby Gentry, Connor Stanhope, Johnny Link, Corey Fogelmanis, Jaylan Evans, Zoë Soul, Isaac Arellanes, Myles Perez, Alex Quijano, Ashley Tavares, Dean Petriw, Alix West Lefler, Lennix James, Alisha Newton, Ellie O’Brien, Kolton Stewart, Mya Lowe, Gabrielle Jacinto, Jesse Lipscombe, and Nathaniel Arcand.

After leaving Silver Falls following Alex’s (Gentry) love confession and her kiss with Cole (LaLonde), Jackie Howard spent the summer in New York City. When Katherine convinces her to return to Colorado, Jackie (Rodriguez) is determined to make amends with Alex and set boundaries with Cole while finding her place within the Walter family. But fitting back in isn’t that easy. Alex – who changed a lot over the summer – isn’t too thrilled about Jackie’s attempts to reconnect, as he’s focused on training for a risky rodeo event (and enjoying all of the new attention he’s getting). Meanwhile, Cole takes on a new role at school, but when that doesn’t quite fill the void left by not playing football, his old ways creep back in and cause drama. As Jackie gains acceptance in Silver Falls while trying to hold onto her Howard identity, she’s forced to make a choice that could destroy everything she’s worked to rebuild.

Natalie Sharp, Carson MacCormac, Janet Kidder, Riele Downs, and Jake Manley join the cast.

Creator Melanie Halsall told Tudum that the new season is "bigger and better," adding, “We’ve got massive set pieces in each episode, and the stories are more intricate. We found our feet with our characters, [and] the actors really understand their characters now. When I was coming back, I was excited to start shooting again because I knew we had great stories to tell."

The show had a strong fan response, and it has resulted in a season 3 renewal before the second season has even premiered. "You never know what the audience is going to react to, or like, or dislike," she expressed. "And then once the show did go on air [and] we were re-commissioned so quickly, it did feel like a complete whirlwind. Everyone was delighted!"

LaLonde shared, "It’s awesome to see this show received well and to have people escaping to Silver Falls with us because it’s a sweet place. And while there’s some dramatic stuff that goes on, I’m sure it’ll all be happy in the end. But how the hell could I know?"

Season 1 of My Life with the Walter Boys is streaming on Netflix.
