After ‘Doctor Strange’s Multiverse Of Madness’, we are still unsure about the future of Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch in Marvel‘s ‘Wanda Maximoff’. The character doesn’t appear to have died and the story hasn’t ended yet. There’s a lot to cover in Wanda’s story.
As Scarlet Witch is considered a key Avenger in the Marvel franchise, she would love to come back to the character. Elizabeth Olsen, who plays the character, said she would happily come back if the script is good and her character is presented well.
During an interview with FM104, Elizabeth Olsen and Carrie Coon talked about their new movie ‘His Three Daughter’, where Olsen was also asked about the possibility of reprising her role of Scarlet Witch.
When the interviewer stated that Marvel fans have their own rumors going on of her coming back for the role, she responded, “It’s a character that I love going back to when there’s a way to use her well and I think I have been lucky that when I started I was used well… if there’s a good way to use her I’m always happy to come back.”
Though there have been sevaral rumors going on, there’s no concrete certainty of a role for Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Universe. The makers haven’t confirmed anything yet. However, her story can be explored in the universe through different angles and multiverses as well.
Olsen, previously in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, said “We didn’t know it was going to have such a response. It came out during the pandemic and it almost had way more relevance to everyone’s lives; [we were all] trying to function in these bubbles that we were put in, and then there was this world outside of a bubble.“
The project changed the path of her career and people also highly admired the role. Her character is now set to appear in ‘Agatha All Along’ later this month, and then later in ‘Vision’ starring Paul Bettany.
Rumors also state that Elizabeth Olsen will return albeit as Virginia, the android wife of the Avenger.
