Jacob Elordi is re-teaming with his Saltburn director, Emerald Fennell, to star in her new movie adaptation of Emily Brontë's classic novel "Wuthering Heights", Deadline reports.
Published in 1847, "Wuthering Heights" is the only novel by Emily Brontë but is largely considered one of the greatest pieces of literature of all time.
The novel follows two families – the Earnshaws and the Lintons – and depicts the tumultuous relationship they have with Heathcliff, the Earnshaws' foster son.
Elordi is set to star as Heathcliff and will be joined by Margot Robbie, who is tapped to play Catherine Earnshaw, with Fennell set to write, direct and produce.
Robbie's LuckyChap will be producing the film, marking the third collaboration between LuckyChap and Fennell, who have also produced her debut feature, the Oscar-winning Promising Young Woman, and her sophomore effort, Saltburn.
Robbie and Elordi are both coming off career-defining years, with Robbie leading and producing last year's hit summer blockbuster Barbie, which grossed $1.4 billion worldwide, as well as appearing in Wes Anderson's Asteroid City and serving as producer on Saltburn.
Elordi had a breakout year, appearing in four films, including Sofia Coppola's Priscilla and Emerald Fennell's Saltburn, which secured Elordi his first BAFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
Further details about the upcoming "Wuthering Heights" adaptation are yet to be revealed.
