It's no secret that country music superstar Morgan Wallen is a huge fan of the Tennessee Vols.

The East Tennessee native is often seen at Vols athletics events, and he's included numerous references to UT football in his songs (such as "Had me by Halftime", "The Way I Talk", and "Tennessee Fan).

Wallen's new album, "I'm the Problem", was released on Friday. And one of the songs on the album includes a deep cut Vols reference.

The song "Nothin' Left" includes a reference to a Tennessee game against the Texas A&M Aggies.

"Left in the shirt that I bought when the Vols played Texas A&M and now I'll probably never see it again, never see her again," sings the 32-year-old.

It's subtle references to Tennessee football like that one that's made Wallen a favorite among many Vols fans.

The big question here is which Texas A&M game is Wallen referencing?

My first instinct, due to the gloomy nature of the song, is that Wallen is referencing the Vols' loss to Texas A&M in College Station in 2016.

That game was memorable, of course, because Tennessee erased a 14 point deficit with just over three minutes left in the fourth quarter to get the game to overtime.

The Vols, however, lost to the Aggies in overtime after Armani Watts intercepted a Josh Dobbs pass to end the game.

Wallen could also be referencing the Vols' win against Texas A&M in 2023. That game, despite being a win for Tennessee, isn't quite as memorable as the 2016 game -- except for Dee Williams' electric punt return that gave the Vols the lead in the third quarter.

Either way, Tennessee fans can listen to Wallen's music knowing that he's living and dying with every possession just like they are.
