'My Whole Personality Changes': ‘Alien Romulus’ Actress Cailee Spaeny Admits Films Influence Her Identity To The Core

Cailee Spaeny admitted that her identity changes with the films she watches during a chat with Nexus Point News. “Everytime I leave the theater I act like I’m the main character of the movie,” Cailee said.

She added, “My whole personality changes depending on what movie I’ve seen and I’m like, I’m her.” It is interesting that even the actress daydreams like her fans.

Cailee’s habit might have helped her prepare for the role of Priscilla Presley. The actor talked to Vanity Fair last year upon the release of the biopic and she explained how she got into the character of the wife of late singer Elvis Presley. Cailee recalled, “Imagining what it would’ve been like to get up however many hours before to present yourself like this every day—she was never not seen in makeup, even inside the house.”

All About ‘Alien Romulus’

Cailee’s upcoming film, ‘Alien Romulus‘, premiered on Wednesday. The sci-fi so far has received positive reviews. Reporter, Borys Kit, posts on X, “Alien Romulus: Has all the great hallmarks of what you would expect in an Alien flick…” The film is part of the ‘Alien‘ franchise that includes hits like ‘Alien Vs Predator’ (2004) and ‘Prometheus’ (2012).

The film is set between Ridley Scott’s ‘Alien’ (1979) and James Cameron’s sequel ‘Aliens‘ (1986). Cailee plays the role of Rain Carradine. The film like its predecessors, will follow a space station of young space colonists. While scavenging an abandoned ship the crew comes in contact with a dangerous mutated species.

‘Alien Romulus‘ is set to hit the big screen on August 23, 2024.
