We're just a few days away from the start of the 2025 NCAA Tournament and the sports world's beloved "March Madness." The NCAA is going all out for their biggest tournament of the year by enlisting one of the world's most iconic performers.

On Saturday, the NCAA announced that the official song of March Madness in 2025 will be "ABRACADABRA" by 14-time Grammy winner and Oscar winner Lady Gaga. The official March Madness account on X included a promo video of the song being played as a teaser to prepare for March Madness.

"ABRACADABRA" was released just one month ago and immediately climbed to the top of multiple music rankings around the world. According to The Big Lead, Spotify has confirmed the song has over 150 million plays already.

On the official YouTube page, the song's music video has another 74 million million views and ranks No. 26 on the site's global top music video ranking.

Suffice it to say, people love the song, and that's reflected in the responses to the announcement as well.

"This is awesome. The matching of the highlights to the dance moves is clean af!" one user replied.

"I didn't notice this the first time but nice job by the editors of finding highlights that mirrored the dance moves from the music video," another user remarked.

"Whoever coordinated this collaboration… A+"

"They cooked this up in a lab specifically for me omg."

Not everyone is a fan of course. Some purists would prefer that the NCAA simply stick with the songs they're most known for such as "One Shining Moment" or the 2015 single "March Madness" by Future.

"Y’all remember back when games started they would just introduce the starters and get to it? If there’s a sporting event that DOESN’T need an entertainment lead in, it’s March Madness," one argued.

"Missed opportunity to use March Madness by Future."

"I remember when they actually played good songs for the March Madness anthem."
