New Tom Holland trilogy in the works after 'Spider-Man: No Way Home,' producer Amy Pascal reveals

Tom Holland is one of GQ's 2021 Man of the Year honorees, and in the accompanying cover story published Nov. 17, writer Oliver Franklin-Wallis noted Spider-Man: No Way Home as the last such film on the 25-year-old actor's contract.

Well, producer Amy Pascal has an update.

"This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel—[this is not] the last Spider-Man movie," Pascal told Fandango in an interview published Monday morning (Nov. 29). "We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. We're thinking of this as three films, and now we're going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies."

Pascal expressed a similar sentiment in the GQ story—"I've talked to [Holland] about doing, like, 100 more. I'm never going to make Spider-Man movies without him. Are you kidding me?"—but that was nowhere near as concrete as what she revealed to Fandango.

"Maybe it is time for me to move on," Holland told Franklin-Wallis. "Maybe what’s best for Spider-Man is that they do a Miles Morales film. I have to take Peter Parker into account as well, because he is an important part of my life. If I’m playing Spider-Man after I’m 30, I’ve done something wrong."

Holland's mind wasn't made up at that point, as later in the story, he also said, "I might do Spider-Man 4, 5, and 6, finish when I’m 32, and never make another. I’m not sure what I want to do."

Holland debuted as the iconic superhero in 2016's Captain America: Civil War before leading director Jon Watts' Spider-Man trilogy—Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and now December's Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Pascal has served as a producer on all three films.

Tickets for Spider-Man: No Way Home's Dec. 17 theatrical release on are sale now (and crashing websites). Watch the trailer below.
