The Primetime Emmy-winning Noah Hawley was back on the carpet last night at this year's ceremony and was asked by Variety about his upcoming series Alien: Earth, which serves as a prequel to Ridley Scott's iconic 1979 film.
Hawley says this upcoming dip into the universe "delivers everything that a great Alien movie delivers, and then there's a whole other world to it."
Set three decades ahead of Scott's 1979 Alien, Alien: Earth breaks from the Prometheus story and will star Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, David Rysdahl, Kit Young, Sandra Yi Sencindiver, Samuel Blenkin, Adarsh Gourav, and Moe Bar-El.
When speaking about the source material and what's to come from his rendition, showrunner Noah Hawley says, "Those movies are survival stories, and that's great for two hours, but if you're going to make 30 or 40 or 50 hours of it, there's gotta be a larger dramatic story."

Alien: Earth does not yet have a set air date, but the first Alien: Earth teaser was released a couple of weeks back and came in the form of a short fifteen-second video that revealed the FX series will land next year.
