Rilo Kiley adds reunion tour dates, announces greatest hits album

Fans of 2000s indie pop, rejoice! Rilo Kiley is reuniting for a tour in 2025, the first time the quartet has played together since 2008. The first dates of the tour were announced previously, but now several more dates have been added as well.

Pierre de Reeder, Jason Boesel, and former child actors Blake Sennett and Jenny Lewis released four albums (across four labels) between 2001 and 2007. Each of them is a different shade of good, but the band has long sat dormant.

The tour, dubbed the "Sometimes When You're On You're Really On Tour" after a lyric from Rilo Kiley classic "A Better Son/Daughter," is spending May in the Western United States (and also Vancouver, Canada). Now, the group has added several dates in the Midwest and on the East Coast throughout September.

In addition to the tour, Rilo Kiley is releasing a greatest hits album through Omaha's Saddle Creek Records, who put out the band's second (and best) album, 2002's "The Execution of All Things."

While multiple members of the band have commented on the reunion tour, de Reeder captures the spirit best in our opinion: "The stakes are only to have a good time, to revel in this nostalgia. Getting to revisit and celebrate the music from that special time of our lives while experiencing it alongside a lot of people that lived it with us back when, and new folks alike."

If you can't make it to a show, "That's How We Choose to Remember It" is out May 9th.
