Sam Asghari dotes on 'wife' Britney Spears for her 40th birthday: 'I’m inspired by your beautiful heart'

Asghari probably referred to this as Spears' first birthday because she is finally freed from her conservatorship, which began in October 2008, as of Nov. 12. But wait, did he also call her his wife?

The couple announced their engagement in September after dating for over four years, at least publicly, as they first met on the set of Spears' 2016 music video for "Slumber Party." There have been no other indications that they've already married, and Spears referred to Asghari as her fiancé in her matching birthday Instagram posts:

The Grammy winner was previously married to Kevin Federline from October 2004 until their divorce was finalized in July 2007. They share sons Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15.
