It was announced back in April of 2024 that Steve Buscemi would be joining the cast of Netflix's Wednesday for the second season, which is scheduled to release this year.
During an interview with PEOPLE, the actor shared what it's like to work with the star/producer, Jenna Ortega: "Oh, she's great. She's just, she's so sharp and funny and down to earth. And just a wonderful actress, a wonderful scene partner. The best."
As for what fans can expect, he expressed, "All very hush-hush, as they say, but I think it's going to be a great season, and I loved working on it."
Joy Sunday, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Moosa Mostafa, Victor Dorobantu, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor make up the rest of the cast.
Lady Gaga will also have a role in the new season, but explained to EW, "I don’t want to give away anything about being part of the show. I want to keep it extra secret — but, I love Jenna, and I really had an amazing time!"
While on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Ortega said, "[Gaga was] so sweet and so humble. Just a normal person, and it's beautiful and amazing."
"This season, Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex as she navigates family, friends, new mysteries, and old adversaries, propelling her headlong into another year at Nevermore," showrunners and executive producers Al Gough and Miles Millar told TUDUM.
They continued to express, "We look forward to exploring more Addams Family lore, and are excited to introduce an eclectic lineup of incredible new characters."
As for the second season, it was described as "delightfully dark, kooky, and mysterious" and will continue to follow the supernatural mysteries of the title character at Nevermore Academy.
