Singer-songwriter and pop icon Taylor Swift has enjoyed unimaginable success during her incredible career.
Thanks in part to some fantastic business decisions in the process, Swift became a billionaire in 2023, according to Forbes, which lists Swift's current net worth at $1.6 billion.
While an amazing feat for the then-32-year-old superstar, Swift is not the youngest self-made billionaire, according to a list from Jasper Merrenor of HowStuffWorks.com, where Swift was ranked No. 3.
That title goes to the co-founder of Scale AI, Alexadr Wang, who accomplished the feat at just 25 years old.
The co-founder of Scale AI (she has since left the company), Lucy Guo, 30, comes in at No. 2 after passing Swift to become the youngest self-made woman billionaire this year.
Like Wang, Guo, who taught herself to code in her younger years, dropped out of college to pursue different projects, something that has clearly worked out for her.
Falling behind Swift on the list was Kylie Jenner, although there has been controversy with her being labeled a billionaire after Forbes removed her from the list in 2020 after initially placing her there following the sale of 51% of her cosmetics company in 2019.
While Swift is not at the top of the list, the fact that she's even on it is very impressive considering how difficult it has become for artists to make significant money in the industry these days.
Forbes says Swift has brought in almost $800 million from royalties and touring, her music catalog is worth $600 million, and Swift has an estimated $110 million in real estate.
