Few shows have a fan base as passionate as "Supernatural." That's how the show was able to last 15 seasons and 327 episodes on The CW. Plus, as far as devoted fans go, "Supernatural" fans do seem to, largely, fall below the "so intense it's alarming" threshold.
Those "Supernatural" fans who are also "The Boys" fans are in for something fun in the fifth and final season of the hit Amazon Prime show.

Jared Padalecki, who played Sam Winchester in "Supernatural", and Misha Collins, who played Castiel, are both guest starring in the final season of the satirical superhero sensation "The Boys."
That's just the tip of the "Supernatural" iceberg. Jensen Ackles, who played Sam's brother Dean and was Padalecki's co-lead, plays Soldier Boy on the Amazon series. Oh, and both shows were created by Eric Kripke.
"The Boys" is ending after five seasons as this was Kripke's intention from the beginning, but he managed to squeeze a "Supernatural" reunion in before bringing it all in for a landing. While, obviously, pertinent plot details are unknown, it has been stated that the three will share scenes, so this is not merely bait to try and get some "Supernatural" diehards bingeing four seasons of "The Boys" to be prepared for season five.
