The Kid LAROI sets Billboard 200 record as 'F**k Love' hits No. 1

The Kid LAROI is here to stay.

The burgeoning Australian artist's F**k Love ascended from No. 26 to No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and he is rewriting the chart's history in the process:

"F**k Love was originally released on July 24, 2020, as a 15-track album and debuted at No. 8 on the Aug. 8, 2020-dated chart," Billboard's Keith Caulfield relayed Sunday (Aug. 1). "It was reissued on Nov. 6, 2020, with seven additional tracks and bounded 81-3 on the Nov. 21, 2020, chart—its peak until this week. It was then reissued a third and fourth time this July 23 and July 27, adding seven and six tracks, respectively, including his current Billboard Hot 100 top five hit 'Stay,' with Justin Bieber. The album’s total tracklist now stands at 35."

"Stay" arrived July 9 and became Bieber's record-breaking 100th career Hot 100 entry. The track sits at No. 4 on this week's chart.

LAROI (born Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard) signed with Scooter Braun and SB Projects for management in early June. Braun discovered preteen Biebs in 2008 by stumbling upon covers posted to YouTube. His roster has since ballooned to include some of music's biggest names, such as Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Dan + Shay, J Balvin and more.

"I remember when I was seven years old and my older cousin took me to go watch the Never Say Never documentary with her when it came out in the movie theater," LAROI told Variety in April, explaining how the 27-year-old global superstar inspired him to start making music. "I didn’t really know a lot about Justin Bieber. I was like seven years old, but I remember after watching that movie I was like, ‘Yo, this is the coolest kid in the f—king world.'"

The same can now be said about LAROI.
