"The Morning Show," the first big original success for Apple TV+, loves to leave audiences hanging from a cliff. That was no different at the end of season 3. The fourth season looms, and while a teaser trailer has arrived, audiences are still left hanging. Truly, "The Morning Show" lives up to the "tease" part of "teaser trailer," though not in a bad way per se.
There is, notably, no new footage from season 4 in this teaser, which is mostly based on the show's stars Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon walking along a mirrored-window-laden building. However, the mirrored nature of those windows allows certain characters to appear, including new ones played by Boyd Holbrook and Marion Cotillard. Jeremy Irons is joining the cast as well, which means the number of Oscar winners in "The Morning Show" is up to three.
Now, while the teaser may show you little of what is to come, the description of season 4 provided alongside the trailer tells you a bit more:
Season 4 of The Morning Show opens in spring 2024, almost two years after the events of Season 3. With the UBA-NBN merger complete, the newsroom must grapple with newfound responsibility, hidden motives and the elusive nature of truth in a polarized America. In a world rife with deepfakes, conspiracy theories and corporate cover-ups — who can you trust? And how can you know what’s actually real?
The 10-episode season debuts on September 17. Apple TV+ divvies out episodes one at a time, which is nice. Aniston is staying busy over at Apple, as she is starring in the adaptation of Jennette McCurdy's memoir "I'm Glad My Mom Died."
