Timothee Chalamet Correctly Predicted Conference Championship Game Upset

When Dune star Timothee Chalamet was announced as the guest picker on ESPN College GameDay last week, most scoffed at the idea and assumed that he'd be a fish out of water on a football analysis show. But the Lisan al-Gaib quickly proved them all wrong.

Chalamet impressed many with his analysis of the upcoming conference championship games that he was at the desk with the panel discussing. But by far his most impressive feat was predicting the outcome of the MAC Championship Game between the Ohio Bobcats and Miami (OH) RedHawks. While the regulars were united in picking the favored RedHawks, Chalamet went on an island and picked the Bobcats, citing their quarterback's exceptional accuracy as a big reason for his pick.

Well, Chalamet proved that Paul Atreides isn't the only one who can see into the future. As the MAC Championship Game at Ford Field enters the fourth quarter, Ohio own a commanding lead over Miami with a 31-3 lead. As he predicted accuracy would be the name of the game with Ohio quarterback Parker Navarro completing 73-percent of his passes for 215 yards and two touchdowns while adding two more touchdowns on the ground.

Football fans couldn't help but be immensely impressed with how prepared and knowledgeable Chalamet was about that game, with most conceding that they were wrong about him.

"Yall must have not seen dune. My man knows all," one user declared.

"I was wrong. The Dune guy knows ball," wrote another.

"Tim’s appearance could become stuff of legend," a third wrote.

For what it's worth, Chalamet's other picks today were Arizona State in the Big 12 Championship (who currently lead 45-10 entering the fourth quarter), Louisiana (Sun Belt Championship), Oregon (Big Ten Championship), SMU (ACC Championship) and Texas (SEC Championship).

Things are certainly trending towards Chalamet being 2-0 in the early slate of games. If he finishes the day with a perfect record in the FBS title games, he truly will be the prophet that he played on the planet Arrakis.
