Happy Gilmore 2 has been making headlines over the past few days, and in the film, we see both Chris Chelios and Sean Avery make surprise cameos.
After years of anticipation, Adam Sandler recently released Happy Gilmore 2 to much applause from long-time fans, but it wasn't just fans of him that saw reasons to watch as the film is drawing great reviews from fans and critics alike.
There were cameos from many parts of the world and entertainment, with Sandler subtly paying tribute to late NHL star Johnny Gaudreau in the film, a move that was highly applauded by hockey fans.
However, that's not the only reference to the NHL and hockey in the film, as two notorious NHLers made cameos in the film that were so quick, many hockey fans may have missed it.
In the movie, Chris Chelios and Sean Avery were seen in a quick cameo, playing the bodyguards of a gangster, and in those two players, Sandler couldn't have found better people for the brief role.
This isn't the first time we've seen Avery especially on our screens, as he's had several acting credits since he stopped racking up penalty minutes in the National Hockey League, with his latest cameo being in a film that's drawing fantastic reviews from fans.
Ultimately, this is one that you may need to rewatch the film to see, as the two shared only brief moments on the screen, but given the look of both mens, it's safe to say they were perfect for the role, and while this film was full of cameos, who knows what this could lead to for two former NHLers.
