Watch the first 6 minutes of 'Wednesday' season 2 starring Jenna Ortega

To conclude Netflix Tudum 2025: The Live Event, fans got to enjoy the first six minutes of Wednesday season 2, episode 1, "Here We Woe Again." We also finally received official confirmation of Lady Gaga's casting!

Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega), returns to prowl the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy, where fresh foes and woes await. This season, Wednesday must navigate family, friends and old adversaries, propelling her into another year of delightfully dark and kooky mayhem. Armed with her signature razor-sharp wit and deadpan charm, Wednesday is also plunged into a new bone-chilling supernatural mystery.

The cast includes Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Steve Buscemi, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Isaac Ordonez, Joy Sunday, Billie Piper, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Victor Dorobantu, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah B. Taylor, and Hunter Doohan.

Lady Gaga, aka Mother Monster, will guest star as Rosaline Rotwood, who is described as "a legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday." More guest stars include Jamie McShane, Joanna Lumley, Joonas Suotamo, Fred Armisen, Christopher Lloyd, Thandiwe Newton, Heather Matarazzo, and Frances O'Connor.

Co-creator and showrunner Alfred Gough explained to TUDUM, "I think the most fun about this was asking, 'What would Wednesday do during her summer vacation?'" Miles Millar, co-creator and showrunner, then commented, "It had to be something insane and dark."

The upcoming sophomore season will be divided into two parts. Part 1, which will include the first four episodes, will premiere on August 6. Part 2 will follow on September 3 with the final four episodes. Tim Burton executive produces and directs episodes 2x01, 2x04, 2x07, and 2x08. Additionally, Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson direct.

"Wednesday speaks for all of us with the absurdity of modern life," Millar expressed.  "And she can call it out."

Season 1 of Wednesday is streaming on Netflix.
